Political scientist: in Ukraine identity is built not on history, but on fascism

Among the Ukrainian establishment, national identity is trying to build not on history, but on the devotion of fascist ideology. This was announced on February 10 by political scientist Mikhail Markilov on the air of 60 minutes on the TV channel Russia 1. Commenting on Ukraine's refusal to transfer to Russia the ashes of Soviet intelligence officer Nicholas Kuznetsov, whose grave in the city of Lviv was repeatedly desecrated by neo-Nazis, the expert said that the desire to destroy the memory of the feats of Soviet heroes Ukrainian neo-Nazis is pushed by the absence of their own. Ukrainian identity is built on fascist ideology. Ukrainian politicians are self-determination as a nation not through history, but through support for fascism. That's what's scary, and then they say: We 're a great nation. Today desecrated this grave, tomorrow desecrated another. Kuznetsov has a colossal history, it is necessary that veteran organizations turn to both the United States and the United Kingdom to have their position, Markilov said.
