Georgia to choose Chairman of Supreme Court


The President of the Supreme Court of Georgia will be elected today, March 10, by the Supreme Council of Justice of the country. This is reported by Georgian Public Television. According to journalists, first the members of the council will hold consultations with the judges of the Supreme Court, at which the parties will be able to put forward their proposals regarding candidates for the post. After that, the Supreme Council of Justice of the Supreme Court will select one candidate for the post of President. The procedure is scheduled to begin at 15:00 (14:00 Moscow time). It should be noted that the post of Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Body of Georgia has remained vacant since August 2018. Then Nino Gwenetadze resigned for health reasons.
