Another 33 people have been identified with a new type of coronavirus in Japan. This was reported on March 8 by the press service of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of the country. To date, the number of cases of COVID-2019 in the country is 1,190. The most cases of infection (101) were found in the northern province of Hokkaido, where the outbreak of infection introduced the emergency regime. About 60 patients across Japan are in severe condition. The number of deaths from the disease caused by coronavirus is 14. Due to the threat of coronavirus spread in the country, all mass events have been cancelled, and schoolchildren have extended their holidays. The question of cancelling the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo is increasingly being raised.
