Scheduled surgical operations, which were planned for this period, will be postponed for 4 months, Minister of Refugees from Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Protection of Georgia Catherine Tikaradze said at a briefing in the administration of the Government of Georgia. Thus, she answered the question whether scheduled operations were planned to be postponed due to the coronavirus epidemic. With regard to planned operations, we have made a change and plan to temporarily postpone planned operations for 4 months, but this, of course, does not apply to urgent operations, Tikaradze said. According to the government website, as of March 24, 67 cases of coronavirus have already been confirmed in Georgia, 9 of them have recovered. Two more infected were citizens of Austria and on March 23 in the evening a special flight was sent home. 4,055 people are quarantined and 252 patients in hospitals under medical supervision
