The desire of Western countries to contain Russia turns out for small states of the European Union and NATO that they themselves are unable to save their population from the spread of coronavirus infection, member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Tsekov told journalists on April 25. Of course, these are the Baltic states: Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, the senator said. As well as Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Luxembourg. According to him, none of them appealed to Russia for help because they received a clear ban on such contacts. Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that some countries even in the context of a pandemic play into geopolitical and prohibit to turn to Russia in the situation of a coronavirus pandemic.
