Albania once again overtook Kosovo in the number of coronavirus infections

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo reported on the evening of 27 May that a survey of 267 samples in the province revealed only one new case of coronavirus infection in 24 hours, with seven other patients found to have been cured. Of 1,048 coronavirus-infected Kosovo citizens, 801 are already healthy, according to Albanian news agency Telegrafi. 30 people died as a result of complications caused by coronavirus. At the same time, 1,050 infections were detected in neighbouring Albania, and the rate of infection began to accelerate. Preparations are under way in the province to open borders and significantly mitigate restrictive measures. The quarantine is expected to be cancelled by the end of May.
