Indian media said India's Navy will take third place in the world
The Indian Navy will reach third place in the world after the United States and China by 2030 in terms of the number and total displacement of ships, Indian media reported on May 15. At the same time, it is claimed that India could overtake China by 2030 and take the second place in the world after the United States. It is worth noting that these statements have already elicited mixed reactions even within India. According to a number of experts, in order to achieve such power, almost all other countries must provide their shipyards for orders to the Indian Navy. In addition, the Chinese military-analytical publication Sohu also responded to such optimistic forecasts. To believe that the Indian Navy will surpass Russia, which is highly appreciated even in the United States, is a great courage. As well as the plan to reach the 2nd place in the number of aircraft carriers, especially considering that in China besides Liaoning and Shandong two more aircraft carriers Type002 and Type003 are already under construction, and three will be laid down in the coming years. According to the news agency, the Indian Navy has one active aircraft carrier, Vikramaditya, and another continues to be built. There are up to 16 diesel-electric submarines, 11 destroyers, 15 frigates, two corvettes, six landing ships, as well as guards, minesweepers and various auxiliary vessels.
