67 new coronavirus carriers identified in Albania

The Albanian Ministry of Health reported on 4 July that a survey of 376 people in the country had revealed 67 new cases of coronavirus. At the same time, another 45 people were recognized as cured. This was reported by the Albanian news agency Telegrafi. A total of 2,819 cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Albania. 1637 people have already been cured. 1108 people are being treated. 74 patients died from complications caused by COVID-19, of which two in the last 24 hours. There are 88 patients on inpatient treatment, of which 8 are undergoing intensive therapy and one is connected to IVL devices. The number of active infections and the number of persons in need of hospital treatment continues to increase. Journalists note that the ability of the authorities and residents of the country to comply with strict measures has already been exhausted. The country is waiting for an influx of tourists, which will help at least somehow mitigate the economic crisis in the country. Nevertheless, most European countries included Albania in the list of countries undesirable for tourists to visit.
