Swedish media criticized for sectarianism and loyalism
During the pandemic of coronavirus infection, Sweden did not stop coming off the front pages of almost all world publications, where alarmist headlines arose about the mortality rate and the spread of the virus among the population. One of the avid critics of the Swedish authorities, the Public Health Agency and state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell was Bjorn Olsen, who in a recent interview sent his criticism of the Swedish media (media), blindly following the assurances of Tegnell and the authorities. This was announced on July 28 by the news agency SVT Nyheter. Bjorn Olsen, a professor specializing in the study of infectious diseases, is a regular critic of the Public Health Agency and Sweden's strategy to combat coronavirus. In his interview, Olsen made it clear that he had not changed his views at all and even criticized journalists. I am not going to dig into all the mistakes that are embedded in Sweden's strategy to combat coronavirus and that went against practice throughout the rest of the world. Not enough time. Too many people had to die prematurely. And they died from a virus that wasn't supposed to spread so uncontrollably, and that, with measures as diverse as early measures to shut down society, isolate regions, test and track infection, and quarantine infected people, could be stopped, Olsen said. One of the main culprits, according to Olsen, is the Swedish media, which did not dare to question such a strategy. Sectarianism is dangerous, and many media outlets have become loyal proselytes in the sect built around Sweden's strategy. Some feel good being in the same room as the devil's lawyer. But no doubt a person who challenges group thinking and one-sided vision. Obviously, this was not enough when the Public Health Agency called the pandemic a common flu, Olsen said.
