IRI Foreign Minister calls for updating the document on cooperation between Iran and Russia

On August 2, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called for updating the provisions of the document on long-term cooperation between Iran and Russia to the level of strategic ties. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. This was stated by Zarif at a meeting with the invited chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky in the building of the Iranian Foreign Ministry. He noted that relations between the parliaments of the two countries are strategic. Commenting on the level of cooperation between the two countries in various fields, Zarif stressed the need to update the documents of long-term cooperation between the two countries to the level of strategic relations. The main topics of discussion between Zarif and Slutsky were the consideration of bilateral, regional and international issues. In addition, Leonid Slutsky also met and held talks with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammed Baker Kalibaf.
